The 23rd media food drive has raised $1.4 million to date

23E the edition of La guignolée des medias has crossed the million mark since its launch on November 24.

The organization said a total of $1.4 million had been raised through various donation methods as of 4 p.m. Thursday.

The amount includes money collected during a street collection held across Quebec on Thursday. It also includes donations made at guignolee.ca, Provigo and Maxi supermarkets, as well as Nissan dealers.

According to results by region, Saguenay–Lac-St-Jean stands out with the largest amount collected to date at $290,107. It is followed by Montreal with $187,639 and Montérégie/South Shore with $142,820.

The organization also mentions the amounts collected in Laval ($70,904), in Montérégie-Ouest ($63,448), in Outaouais ($58,238), in Estrie/Centre-du-Québec ($58,087), in Quebec City (32 $619), Chaudière-App Granit ($23,190) and Vallée-du-Richelieu ($17,811).

The organization will present its next report next Monday at the end of the day.

Collection 23E the media food drive continues until December 31.
